Skin preparation is very important your tanning appointment. It is the final piece in your puzzle to enable you to achieve the perfect tan to show off your hard work in the gym.
Jan Tana UK - Revolution offers a professional service to apply your tan, touch ups and glaze before you step on stage.
It is very important that you prepare and remove any dead skin, below are guidelines:
Preparation Advice
- Use Jan Tana skin prep scrub daily 1 week before your competition.
- Ensure that you use Jan Tana deep moisturiser on your body daily, focusing on hands, feet, elbows and knees.
- 48 hours before your competition remove any unwanted hair. If you have thick hair growth it may be advisable to remove either 24 hours before competition or on the day.
- Day of tanning appointment, use skin prep-scrub. Do not apply moisturiser as this would effect your tanning application.
- Attend tanning appointment.
- Application of Jan Tana glaze before you go on stage.
Competition tanning is a great way for you to show your definition, however tan can rub off onto your clothing.

Dark, Rich Ultra 1 Colour to Help You Win! Perfect for all skin types. Does Not rub off or stain most clothing. Before tanning, stand on towel to catch any overspray.
To Airbrush, pour colour into airbrush cup.
Week of Show: Use Skin Prep & Deep Moisturiser Daily.
DIRECTIONS: Night Before contest, bathe with Skin Prep and spray on Green Away. DO NOT apply lotion or deodorant. Spray on Hi-Def and smooth evenly over body with Tanning Puff. Apply once if using Ultra 1 the next day. Apply twice if only using Hi-Def Colour.
Day Of Competition: Spray on one application of Jan Tana Ultra 1 or Hi-Def Colour. Use Deep Moisturiser on tanning puff to blend colour over problem areas and remove bikini adhesive. When backstage apply Jan Tana Glaze.
* 4 oz bottle of colour will tan for one to two competitions.

DIRECTIONS: Shower with Jan Tana Skin Prep, pat dry. Spray Green Away under arms and over entire body. Once dry, apply Jan Tana Colour. If needed, spray Green Away on puff and use to wipe green tint from under the arms and other areas. For a refreshing long lasting scent, spray Green Away on daily.
